About Acoustic Guitar Magazine
Acoustic Guitar Magazine is a monthly magazine which was launched in 1990. In the magazine, you will find information to improve your playing whether you are a novice or an accomplished guitar player.
In each issue there are songs or music with accompanying musical notation for guitar. There are also reviews of new acoustic guitars and guitar accessories. In addition, there are in depth interviews with well known professional acoustic musicians.
The magazine won its first editorial award within the first year of publication, winning the Western Publishing Association Maggie Award for Best New Consumer Magazine. From the first issue the magazine provided a plethora of information for the acoustic musician including a profile of the blues great Robert Johnson, an interview with singer and songwriter Bruce Cockburn, and a review of MTV’s first Unplugged series.
