About Lodown magazine subscription
Lodown Magazine
Lowdown Magazine is a German publication focused on the world of entertainment, and sports. The publication is written in English and German and is published five times per year. From contemporary pop music to sporting events to film reviews Lodown Magazine has it all. Lowdown is a youth focused publication with a provocative and anti-establishment voice.
Recent articles include a story on a BMX SX event in Berlin, and a review of a newly released video by Zoo York of skateboarder wonder Chaz Ortiz. An interview with the English actor Tom Hardy appears in a past issue. The actor has appeared in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Inception, and Star Trek: Nemesis. The interview conducted by Sir David Michael discusses Hardy’s addiction problems for which he has undergone rehabilitation. Hardy talks about his work on both stage and TV and how his career changed in 2009 with his portrayal of the British prisoner Charles Bronson.
Album reviews are a staple in Lowdown Magazine. Recent reviews include Oddisee: People hear what they see, Monster Rally: Beyond the Sea from Gold Robot Records, David Edwards and his Orchards album, Mac Demarco: Rock and roll night club and Hot Chip’s In our heads.
In addition to music news and events Lowdown also provides interviews with artists such as the recent question and answer session with Tom French. French’s work has been called an image maker not just an artist. The work which uses a variety of media including spray paint, collages, charcoal, and chamois is typified by a passion for displaying motion and dynamics. His work tends toward the monochromatic of black and white as French sees strength in the cinematic quality of his art work.
A subscription to Lodown Magazine gets you coverage of both European events and international news and reviews.
