I bought Music Week for my daughter, Tara McDonald, who is signed now with Play Two, part of Warner group. Her latest track 'TAXXXI' topped Music Week charts week 17, at nos. 5, 7, 8 etc. So she asked me to procure the magazine for few weeks leading up to 17, as it charted. So pleased with ease of ordering, expediency magazine arrived etc. Much better than my attempts to order this from elsewhere couple of year b4. Great service.

The gift was removed from the package I recieved. I paid an extra fee for shipping to France and the the magazine should be sent with its full package. I am disappointed.

Your shipping costs are to expensive because there is no rebate if you order more than 1 magazine

Thank you for your feedback. The postage costs are worked out on the size and weight of the magaizne and then a discount applied. If an order is placed for more than one magazine the weight and size does then increase. As magazines have different issue dates, the 2 magaiznes ordered may be dispathced days or even weeks apart and therefore we would need to pay the postage twice. These are the reasons why postage is per item and not per order. I hope this explains why we have to do this.

We bought this for Christmas - unfortunately it did not arrive until afterwards. You could have been more clear about this - I am sure many would have been thinking of this as a Christmas present.

Magazine was sent as a gift but there was no mention of who it was from was sent with the magazine. My dad was about to send it back because he did not know it was a gift! Perhaps the first issue could come with a computer generated gift card or message in the same way that bunches.co.uk send with their flowers..

IT would be good to see a 'Green lifestyle' selection. I think you have a lot of titles that already fit into this, but it would be good to see them grouped together, eg Green Parent, Permaculture, BBC Wildlife, Simple Life, etc. I would like to have received confirmation when my friend got her first copy - I had to ask her in person if she had started to get her mags.

Offers like yours and from other suppliers attracts one in but it would be very enticing if you provided ongoing offers at the end of each 12/15 issues to keep customers with you and not cancel after that time to go with another supplier providing a new offer that one cannot refuse for the next 12/18 months. I hope this clears up why you have had an initial wait before receiving your first issue. In the future you will receive your magazine around 5 days before they appear in the shops.

I received an email suggesting that the last magazine had been posted for my subscription. I panicked as I knew that I had renewed it in February. It was only in the small print that it told me that I had renewed and I did not have to do anything. The magazine I ordered before Christmas was not delivered. The recipient has had to contact you repeatedly, often getting no response to phone calls. The first issue has now been delivered. Ordering on-line was a joy getting a delivery has been crap.

My main problem has been that I live in Australia. Your price was good, your website easy to use but when it came to purchase I wasn't able to use my UK credit card as it is registered to my Australian postal address. This meant I had to use the BACS transfer which I hadn't done before. It wasn't clear that I had actually purchased the subscription until a couple of weeks later (which for a xmas gift was a bit worrying). Then as I'm in a different time zone contacting you to confirm the purchase was difficult. I didn't receive a response to my email and then received two emails from you around the same time one saying the purchase was incomplete and the other saying it was done. All a bit confusing. I received an email from you today to say I should have started receiving my subscription. But I haven't (which I emailed you about earlier today). Perhaps I have overcomplicated the puchase and should have made my order through an Australian-based company instead? Hope this is useful.

I ordered this magazine as a Christmas gift and the first edition is only just arriving. I know it only comes out every 2 months but the jan / feb edition has been out for some time. Could the order have not been processed more quickly?

12 weeks before a subscription begins is an utterly preposterous time to wait. Why is that the case with your company? In my foolishness, I did not read the terms thoroughly, and have consequently missed out on 12 weeks of a comic in which my work appears-work I wanted for my portfolio. I suspect that many other costumers have said the same thing about this extraordinarily stupid waiting time.

One of the Lucky Seven Crossword Collection magazines which was sent in my subscription was defective. There were no answers to any of the puzzles, no prize winning puzzle and several of the puzzles were repeated 2 or 3 times in the same issue. In short, I did not receive a 58-puzzle issue and I did not feel that I got value for the price I paid. Otherwise, I was pleased with the other 5 issues I received.

Had to chase my order as far too long from payment to delivery. When arrived it looked used, as creasing to spine. Also got an E-mail saying issue 1 of my "subscription" had started, yet it was a one off purchase so quite worrying to think I could be charged for more issues I didn't ask for.

I subscribe on behalf of my 80-year-old mother, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's, but who still gets enormous pleasure from receiving and reading her copy of People's Friend. Those who care for relatives with this rerrible disease will know how great a compliment that is. We pass on the copies she has read to others mostly elderly, on extremely limited incomes, who cannot afford to subscribe, and they too look forward to reading them. Why no refund for holiday periods? I also subscribe for The Telegraph newspaper which does refunds for 14 days or more!

There was a delay of more than a month between payment and the first comic arriving. When I complained about this, your operative was completely unapologetic, and told me that this was completely normal. I find this level of service utterly unacceptable.

We do try to make it clear on our site, checkout process and confirmation emails that it can take 4-6 weeks for a weekly subscription to start. This is because the publishers have a cut off date for print runs. So for example, they may have a cut off for printing numbers today, for a magazine due out in 2 weeks time. Which means any orders after this date must wait until the following issue.

I didn't spend the gift voucher amount on a magazine subscription because I would have had to either pay considerably more in addition to the voucher amount myself, or set up a standing order, neither of which I was prepared to do. Also, please stop sending me emails about my subscription to 'SnoreWizard' - it is an item, not a magazine! There is little point in sending me a voucher for £2.50, as I am very unlikely to use it - though I assume that will be an automated process run by robots too!

Customer service was poor following start of subscription. Enquired about cancelling my subscription to be told I had to contact the magazine direct. Asked for magazine contact details but have still not received a reply so how am I expected advise the magazine?!?!? I have stopped my direct debit in the meantime given the non-response.

It seems to take 3 weeks after the issue date before I receive my copy in Spain.

The wait between ordering and receiving the magazine is FAR too long; you should offer the option of sending either the current issue dispatched on a chosen date; or the next issue to be published. Six weeks - in this day and age! - seems madness.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately Publishers do not offer the facility to have the issue currently in the shops sent out as the first issue of a subscription. This is because it is in the shops, and has already left the printers/wholesalers. In order to do this, the publisher would have to print additional copy, held back, which is a significant cost. Therefore subscriptions always start with the next issue, when the publisher can increase their order from the printers based on volume required. We understand that in this day and age customers expect items delivered quickly, but in the case of publications which have a set publication date and have to be physically manufactured, we are bound by the publication and manufacture dates of the magazines.

I order this every year for my Nan's birthday but find it difficult as the renewal reminder is sent to my Nan, not me. When I renew online I can never tell if I am going to overlap an order or she will be without the magazine for a couple of weeks. I wish I could just renew my old order to know that it would continue seamlessly as my Nan gets very upset if she doen't get the magazine and I don't like to ask her as she gets confused.

So you can renew a subscription in advance, and if the postcode and house number matches an existing subscription it will be tagged onto the end. For a monthly title, they may decide the print run up to 2 weeks before the magazines goes in the shops. There were some initial problems with establishing the start date of the subscription. I have e mailed and telephoned your office regarding this. It was eventually resolved but it took some time and effort on my part to get a resolution.

I am really disappointed with your service. I have purchased a magazine subscription with you before Christmas for a client and she still hasn't received an issue, although a gift, my client is extremely disappointed at the service she has received, needless to say this is a very bad reflection on my company. I use other magazine services for many other clients and don't seem to have any problems. Although it took 5 minutes of waiting on the phone to connect with your customer services dept, they assure me I should receive more info today about when the subscription will start. On this occasion I feel the communication has been poor, the service appalling and am sorry to say I will avoid using this Unique Magazines again.

my son is disapointed that he has received 2 issues of the beano on the same day from when his subscription started rather than 1 each week.Also he has not received any free gifts on the front of the magazine except last week.

We think you have experienced a rare phenomenon where post within the royal mail system is delayed. Only complaint I have is that each year we have to take out a new subscription without the benefits of an added gift like the first time I subscribed for my friend. Also, every year I order the People's friend annual as a Christmas gift and my friend always receives it LATE January. My friend loves People's Friend magazine and passes it on to friends once she has read it. I was due to receive the first magazine in January - this did not happen so I had to phone to chase. I was told that the subscription had not been started. I have now received the first magazine (in February) and hope that I will receive all 12 copies. The free gift I was promised still has not arrived.

Ordered in good time but missed an important issue of the magazine due to using this service. Letter in Nov 2010 said next issue and I didn't start receiving until the Jan 2011 issue - AND I had to chase that up as well!!! Still need a copy of the December 2010 issue.

I bought 10 back numbers of puzzle magazine before Christmas that was a one off and since then I have had two communications from you asking me if I was satisfied and had I received them. What is going on? I have used several magazine subscription companies and the only thing I would say is that it is disappointing when buying children's presents to find they are very late in arriving despite ordering them early.

The subscription was bought as a Christmas gift. However, the surprise was somewhat spoiled because Timeout wrote to the recipient in November telling her that a subscription had been purchased for her. I don't really think this is acceptable.

I was disappointed that Glamour was so late for a Christmas present for my granddaughter. But on the whole the service has been good and I have been kept informed of its progress once I have emailed any queries. I have used many firms over the Christmas period and this way of sending presents is ideal for me living in Tenerife.

I have found some magazine come late as Christmas presents The Geographical one at least had a free gift of a calendar which came in time to use. Still awaiting the magazine. I have ordered from several magazine subscriptions sites. Some are better than others.

I absolutely LOVE your email notifications when my issues are sent out! This takes all the guesswork out of when it will arrive and I know within a week if Royal Mail have eaten it. I was debating whether or not to renew, but that's entirely down to the magazine's standards slipping, not yours!

The Magazine was ordered as a Birthday Present for a November birthday. It was ordered well in advance with a "Happy Birthday" greeting. It was treated as a Christmas gift

Unique Magazines say:

The order was placed on 3rd November, and unfortunately monthly magazines can take up to 6 weeks for the first issue to arrive. This information is on the magazine page and also the order confirmation email.

A few order progress e-mails would make a big difference in between ordering and actually receiving magazines as it sometimes takes 6 to 8 weeks to deliver.

The only thing I didn't like is the card that I printed out to give before the first edition arrived, it was a bit small and ineffective, it did the job but maybe could have been a bit more 'gifty'. Might also have been nice to know when the first magazine would be arriving.
