WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
The subscription cost is dependent upon the country you wish your magazine to be delivered to. The price displayed includes all delivery costs and taxes (where applicable).
If you pay for your subscription using any non-sterling currency the price you pay will be dependent upon the exchange rate of your credit card company and may fluctuate.
CAN I PLACE MY ORDER OVER THE PHONE?
Our customer service team will be more than happy to help you and can process any order over the telephone. You can call us on 0845 303 6750 from the UK, or on +44 191 2800 from outside the UK. Our opening hours are 0830 – 1700, Monday - Friday.
WHO PROCESSES THE PAYMENT FOR MY ORDER?
Orders are processed by Unique Magazines and dispatched by the publisher or Unique Magazines, based upon which publications you have chosen. If you are unsure as to which category your magazine falls under please click here.
WHAT IS A DIRECT DEBIT?
If you pay by Direct Debit you are automatically protected by the DIRECT DEBIT GUARANTEE. All direct debit payments are taken by the publisher of your chosen magazine. When electing to pay by Direct Debit you should receive a letter from the publisher around 4 weeks after placing the order. This letter will confirm the date and amount of your first payment and any subsequent payments. You should receive your first magazine shortly after your first payment.
Please keep this letter safe as you will need it to contact the publisher should you ever wish to cancel your subscription.
If you have not received your confirmation letter from the publisher within 28 days, please contact Unique Magazines where we can arrange for this to be resent from the publisher.
Unique Magazines are unable to cancel any subscriptions paid for by Direct Debit; this would need to be done by the account holder with their bank. You should also notify the publisher of your intention.
Direct Debit subscriptions do not have an end date and payments will continue indefinitely until cancelled by the account holder.

HOW DO I PAY BY UNIQUE MAGAZINES GIFT CARDS AND VOUCHERS?
Once selecting the magazine of your choice and proceeding to the basket page, you will see the ‘redeem discount / voucher box underneath the cost of your order. Enter the code from the gift card or voucher. Press redeem, and the value will be deducted from the total. You will then be able to continue to complete the order in the usual way.
Vouchers and Gift Cards can be used as full or part payment of your order.
Vouchers and Gift Cards have no cash redemption value so no change will be given if the value of your order is less that the value of the voucher.
Gift Cards and Vouchers are not accepted as payment or part payment against any Direct Debit order.

HOW DO I GET AN INVOICE OR SEND A PURCHASE ORDER?
If you are ordering on behalf of a school, library, college or business please contact our office on 0845 303 6750 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org where we can process your order and let you know about the service we provide for corporate and educational institution customers.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED?
Unique magazines accept the following payment methods:
- Postal Orders BACS
- Unique Magazines gift cards and vouchers
- Direct Debit - only on magazines where you see the Direct Debit Logo
In some circumstances we can provide an invoice for your order, this option is suitable for orders on behalf of a library, school, college and business’s.
HOW DO I PAY BY CHEQUE?
Please follow the ordering process in the normal way, before your order is finalised you will see a list of payment options. Simply click on the cheque option, write your order reference number on the reverse of your cheque and mail it to:

Your order reference number can be found in the top right hand corner of the screen, on all pages throughout the order process; it will also appear on your confirmation email and will start with UM followed by 6 digits.
Orders will not be completed until we receive your cheque. When we receive your cheque and complete your order you will receive a confirmation email.
Unique Magazines only accept cheques in British Pounds.

HOW DO I MAKE A BACS / ELECTRONIC TRANSFER PAYMENT?
Please follow the ordering process in the normal way, before your order is finalised you will see a list of payment options. Simply click on the BACS option.
You will then be presented with the following details which you will need to complete the payment with your bank.

This information will also be sent to you in an email after placing your order.

HOW SECURE ARE MY PAYMENT DETAILS?
we take the security of our website, and your payment details very seriously. Firstly, our payment pages are secure. You will see on these pages that the URL in your address bar changes to read https:// at the start. This means all communication is encrypted between your computer and our website. You will also see the secure padlock icon somewhere in the bottom bar of your web browser. The location of this will differ depending on what browser you use. So this means any card details you type in and send to us is encrypted or scrambled.
3D secure transactions
all orders placed through our website are 3D secure transactions. This is a system which all websites taking payments must comply with since October 2009. You may be familiar with this already. Once you have entered your card details, i.e. number, expiry date etc you may then be asked for some additional security information. At this stage the page you are seeing is actually created by your Bank or Card Issuer. This is where your bank validates that the person using the card is actually you, by asking you some questions that only you and your bank know. Once your bank has validated you are indeed you, they tell us we can proceed with the order. Every bank asks you different questions. Some will ask you for certain digits of a password or code you have setup with them. Some may ask for your Date of Birth, or your mother’s maiden name. But the aim of this is to ensure the person using the card, is you.
Secure your data
once you have given us your card details we use them to process your order, and then we discard them. This means your card details are never recorded in a database somewhere, or stored in a file.
On top of this security and policy of not retaining your details, our website is also PCI compliant. PCI stands for Payment Card Industry, and is a set of rules that the likes of Visa and MasterCard have put together to protect the card details of their customers. Our website undergoes a test every 3 months to make sure we are compliant, and that our website cannot be hacked.
