The Nation newspaper comes in different formats, and there are individual names for the publication based on the day of the week. The daily publication for Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays, is called the Daily Nation, while Wednesday’s paper is called Midweek Nation, and Friday’s publication is called Weekend Nation.
Whatever day it is the Nation publication is the main newspaper in Barbados. The publication was founded in 1973 and is issued in color format. The newspaper provides news on sports, business, politics, local and regional events, lifestyles, entertainment and general news. The newspaper also covers some international news and events.
The Weekend Nation is primarily geared to providing news of happenings for the forthcoming weekend so readers can plan their Saturday and Sunday outings.
