About Countryman Magazine
The editors pride themselves on the range of reporting that covers everything of interest, from the depleting vegetative cover to the plight of the bovine species in many rural areas. From considering the value of broadband to the entry of retail giants in the community, everything of interest in dealt with in a comprehensive and efficient manner. The British wildlife is almost now part of mythical stories about foxhunts and magical creatures that surface out of lakes. But even the mundane farm horses and dogs find a special mention in this magazine for the undeniable role they play in the lives of the country people. The reporters follow the stories of missing animals, the season’s favorite fruit/vegetable, the farm that produces the freshest produce and how and the many things that make the countryside so special. They also extend their support to many worthy causes, including the need to save rural England from the corporate, commercial onslaught and the need to protect small businesses and outfits from being taken over. They also advocate sustainable farming and other environment friendly practices in order to help maintain the environment in all the right ways.
