This popular publication is read by approximately 22,000 people each week. The magazine is sponsored by the Royal Pigeon Racing Association which oversees the sport of pigeon racing in the United Kingdom and boasts over 54,000 members. In this magazine you will find articles on race results, full listings of races in the UK, reports from all over the UK about the care of racing pigeons, profiles of owners and their winning birds, and information on scientific topics. Within the pages of British Homing World Magazine you will find all the information you need to get started in the sport of pigeon racing. In pigeon racing pigeons are bred and trained for racing. When the pigeons race they are released from identified locations to then race home to their lofts. If you want to get started in pigeon racing the Royal Pigeon Racing Association recommends that you join the association and a local racing club. People who are interested in racing pigeons can either keep a loft of pigeons themselves or they can race in one loft races. One loft races are available to pigeon racers who pay to have a loft manager house their racing birds. In a one loft race all the birds will be from the same loft. The birds have all been raised together, trained and released together.

My husband who is disabled and confined to his bed looks forward to receiving his Homing World every week, but unfortunately since they changed the size of the magazine he finds it more difficult to read as it is just to big for him to manage what was the reason for the change.
