About Citizen Magazine
Citizen magazine is a response to time, documenting Black culture, intellect, aesthetics and nuance. Through every photo, every word and every page it gives more and more about black culture and the history behind it all.
The creators of Citizen magazine set their goal out to make sure that the important faces and names of the black culture are known, and their stories are heard. They wanted to make a physical copy of these stories, so even after all these important figures are gone, there is still proof of what they did for the black community and they names are still known, and their stories are still being told.
This is an evolving body of work that will invite a wealth of diverse, global voices so that Citizen can live as intended, which is a collective portfolio of blackness overtime.
