The focus of The Armourer is multipurpose. The publication fills a need for historians and those interested in the strategy of battle, it also is of interest to collector of militaria collecting including antique collectors, museums and hobbyists. The detailed photos and historically accurate articles also appeal to military re-enactors. The regular features in The Armourer include news items, a trade directory, a list of upcoming shows and exhibits, and reviews of past exhibits, lists of competitions, and in-depth interviews and articles. Articles in past issues include a look at the significance of war graves in remembrance of heroes, an examination of the German Tiger Tank, and the army field uniform of the Czechoslovak People's Army. For miniaturists there is an essay on the world of miniature bayonets from Switzerland by Roger Evans. There are also book reviews, information on upcoming auctions and collectors club meetings. If you are a collector of military memorabilia or have an interest in military history then a subscription to The Armourer is a must have.
